Terms of Use for Drone Photography

These Terms of Use (“Agreement”) govern the use, licensing, and distribution of photographs, video, and related content (“Content”) produced by 500 Foot View (“Company,” “we,” or “us”). By purchasing, downloading, or otherwise using our Content, you (“Client” or “User”) agree to the following:


1. Ownership of Content

All photographs, videos, and related materials created by Company remain the exclusive property of Company unless otherwise agreed to in writing.


2. License Grant

Upon full payment, Company grants Client an exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Content for the agreed purposes.

Permitted Uses:

  • Personal use (display, sharing, printing)
  • Commercial use (marketing, advertising, social media, website) if specified in the invoice or contract
  • Editorial or journalistic purposes (with credit given to Company when possible)

Restricted Uses:

Client may not:

  • Sell, sublicense, or redistribute the Content to third parties
  • Claim authorship or ownership of the Content
  • Use Content in defamatory, unlawful, or misleading contexts
  • Modify the Content in a way that misrepresents the original work

3. Credit/Attribution

When Content is used publicly (print, digital, broadcast), attribution should be provided in the following form (unless otherwise agreed):
“Photo/Video by 500 Foot View.”


4. Delivery & Storage

Company will deliver Content in the agreed format (JPEG, PNG, MP4, etc.). Company is not responsible for archiving or storing Content after 90 days from delivery.


5. Liability

Client acknowledges that drone photography is subject to FAA regulations, weather, safety, and location restrictions. Company is not liable for delays, cancellations, or unusable shots due to factors outside our control.


6. Indemnification

Client agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Company from any claims, damages, or liabilities arising from Client’s use of the Content.


7. Termination of License

Any violation of these Terms automatically terminates the Client’s license to use the Content, and all copies must be destroyed or returned to Company.


8. Governing Law

This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law principles.


9. Entire Agreement

This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between Client and Company regarding use of the Content and supersedes all prior agreements.
